Role Overview: You will be joining the User Research team at Cvent, a leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider. Your main responsibility will be to plan and conduct evaluative and generative research efforts to build deep user understanding and empathy for specified products or small program areas. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to synthesize information, define success metrics, and innovate Cvent's product. Additionally, you will apply your expertise in research methodologies, human factors, and statistics to contribute to product and service design in an iterative development environment. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and conduct evaluative research (e.g., card sort, tree testing, usability, heuristics evaluations) and support generative research efforts - Synthesize and communicate information to cross-functional teams, define success metrics, and challenge the product for innovation - Create testable hypotheses and utilize research findings to support product development - Work with design, analytics, product management, customer support, marketing, and sales teams to address research questions - Independently and collaboratively plan, execute, and analyze research across product or program areas - Perform qualitative data analysis, support coding efforts, and conduct statistical analyses - Support survey design and execution, as well as undertake secondary research scans and comparative/competitive analysis - Collaborate within a small team to help evolve User Research practice Qualifications Required: - Bachelors and/or masters degree in the study of user experience, design, research, business, or related fields - 7+ years of experience conducting user research within a UX team for software/web-based products - Demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices - Knowledge of hospitality industry and experience working on enterprise software is a plus - Experience with quantitative survey programming and analysis, UX Research for Meeting/Event Planners, Attendees software, UX Research for Mobile app or web development, managing and recruiting a usability lab, developing and executing research for product globalization, and establishing or managing product/software baseline measurement system would be advantageous.,
