Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Act as a technical and analytical partner to Section Incharges by providing structured support in data collection, statistical analysis, and technical literature review for development of new grades and process improvements.
Develop and deliver data-driven ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and insights to enable informed decision-making at the section and SMS level.
Collaborate with the Product Development team to plan, execute, and analyze shop-floor experiments and plant trials, ensuring systematic documentation of outcomes and learnings.
Participate in shop review and performance meetings; prepare concise minutes, track action items, and proactively follow up to ensure timely closure of technical and operational gaps.
Monitor, analyze, and report TPM adherence across SMS, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement rather than just ticking compliance boxes.
Lead and contribute to assigned technical projects within SMS, including new grade development, introduction of new machinery, and process optimization initiatives, from feasibility assessment through implementation and stabilization.

Preferred candidate profile

Engineering Graduate with minimum 5 years experience in steel industry in similar profile.
