Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the system architecture, design, and integration of advanced power electronic subsystems (e.g., converters, inverters, rectifiers) for industrial and energy applications.
  • Oversee the development, modelling, and simulation of system-level behaviours, including electrical, thermal, mechanical, and control aspects.
  • Possess knowledge on Have knowledge on device characteristics (such as IGBTs and SCRs), test, and certification of components.
  • Have ability to define comprehensive technical requirements, specifications, and controls interface documentation for power electronic systems,
  • Coordinate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with project requirements.
  • Strong understanding of electrical machines and their integration with power electronic systems.
  • Ability to assess in detail the THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) calculations and implement mitigation actions to minimize harmonic distortion in power systems.
  • Conduct technical reviews, design validation, and root-cause analysis for system-level issues.
  • Manage risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and reliability analyses for power electronics projects.
  • Support supplier selection, technical negotiations, and collaboration with external technology partners.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal quality policies.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical documentation, system specifications, and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Investigate and assess the latest newer technologies such as application of silicon carbide or related latest device technologies to reduce THD and improve performance of the systems.
  • Piloter l'architecture systme, la conception et l'intgration de sous-systmes d'lectronique de puissance avancs (convertisseurs, onduleurs, redresseurs, etc.) pour des applications industrielles et nergtiques.
  • Superviser le dveloppement, la modlisation et la simulation des comportements systme, notamment les aspects lectriques, thermiques, mcaniques et de contrle.
  • Matriser les caractristiques des composants (IGBT, SCR, etc.), leurs tests et leur certification.
  • tre capable de dfinir des exigences techniques compltes, des spcifications et une documentation d'interface de contrle pour les systmes d'lectronique de puissance.
  • Assurer la coordination avec les quipes matrielles, logicielles et micrologicielles afin de garantir une intgration systme optimale et la conformit aux exigences du projet.
  • Solide comprhension des machines lectriques et de leur intgration aux systmes d'lectronique de puissance.
  • Capacit valuer en dtail les calculs de distorsion harmonique totale (THD) et mettre en uvre des actions correctives pour minimiser la distorsion harmonique dans les rseaux lectriques.
  • Ralisation de revues techniques, de validations de conception et d'analyses des causes profondes des problmes au niveau du systme et gestion des valuations des risques, des stratgies d'attnuation et des analyses de fiabilit pour les projets d'lectronique de puissance.
  • Support la slection des fournisseurs, aux ngociations techniques et la collaboration avec les partenaires technologiques externes.
  • Garantie de la conformit de toutes les activits d'ingnierie aux normes industrielles, aux rglementations et aux politiques qualit internes en vigueur.
  • Encadrement et accompagnement des ingnieurs juniors, en favorisant l'excellence technique et le partage des connaissances.
  • Prparer et prsenter aux parties prenantes une documentation technique dtaille, les spcifications systme et des rapports d'avancement.
  • tudier et valuer les technologies les plus rcentes, telles que l'utilisation du carbure de silicium ou d'autres technologies de pointe, afin de rduire le taux de distorsion harmonique (THD) et d'amliorer les performances des systmes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in Electrical engineering, Power Electronics, Controls Engineering or related field.
  • Relevant experience in power electronics system design, integration, or development.
  • Proficiency in simulation and modelling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, SPICE).
  • Strong understanding of power electronic devices, topologies, and control strategies.
  • Experience with regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) relevant to power electronics applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and ability to manage multiple priorities

Additional Information: This position may require occasional travel to customer sites, supplier facilities, or test laboratories.
