In this role, you will be supporting the Systems Integration organization by contributing to the definition, design, and development of intricate medical device systems tailored for treating conditions related to the central nervous system. These system designs typically incorporate complex electronic circuits, wireless communication, batteries, and a blend of consumer and medical technologies. The focus will be on designing systems that prioritize user experience to deliver innovative solutions to the market. As part of the Engineering R&D team at MEIC, Hyderabad, your responsibilities will involve engaging in design, development, and verification activities throughout the New Product Development (NPD) and Sustaining phases of the product development cycle for the Global Business Unit (GBU)s. Your key responsibilities may include: - Creating, analyzing, and documenting System Requirements Specifications - Investigating and resolving product/system issues to enhance performance - Conducting product/system testing to evaluate performance under various use cases - Ensuring proper system coverage and alignment with user needs and requirements - Championing best practices and advanced testing techniques for comprehensive test coverage - Reviewing requirements for implantable medical device systems to ensure testability and completeness - Translating customer needs, use cases, and workflows into specific requirements and design features - Participating in technical architecture activities for system definition and performance measures - Performing/participating in Risk Analysis activities such as FMEA and Hazard Analysis for risk mitigation - Identifying, investigating, and resolving product issues - Reviewing technical literature and manuals Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline with 6+ years of technical engineering experience OR Master's degree in Engineering discipline with 4+ years of experience - 2+ years of experience in Systems/Product development - Strong verbal/written communication and influence management skills - Proficiency in System Engineering discipline or system engineering methodologies Physical Job Requirements: This summary provides an overview of the responsibilities and skills required for the position at Medtronic.
