Role Overview:

Structural Engineer

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in industrial structural engineering, hands-on experience with large-scale projects, and a thorough understanding of the unique demands of metallurgical plant environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and validate structural designs, calculations, and drawings related to foundations, steel structures, platforms, and equipment supports.
• Oversee the structural aspects of electric arc furnace installations, ensuring alignment with design standards and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, and project engineering to ensure seamless execution of structural works.
• Conduct on-site inspections to monitor structural quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential design risks, construction challenges, and structural issues to ensure project timelines are met.
• Ensure all structural activities comply with applicable IS codes, international standards, and statutory regulations.
• Engage with external consultants, contractors, and vendors for specialized structural requirements and solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including design records, inspection reports, and as-built drawings, for future reference and audits.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, particularly in metallurgical or heavy industrial plants.
• Proven experience in projects involving electric arc furnaces, refractory plants, or similar heavy equipment installations.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, load calculations, material strengths, and high-temperature considerations.
• Familiarity with relevant Indian and international codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
