Role Overview: Maithan Ceramic Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, and execution of structural works for our upcoming Fused Magnesia production facility . This role will play a critical part in ensuring the structural integrity, stability, and safety of the plant infrastructure, including electric arc furnace (EAF) foundations, heavy equipment supports, and high-temperature structural components. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in industrial structural engineering, hands-on experience with large-scale projects, and a thorough understanding of the unique demands of metallurgical plant environments. Key Responsibilities: Review and validate structural designs, calculations, and drawings related to foundations, steel structures, platforms, and equipment supports. Oversee the structural aspects of electric arc furnace installations, ensuring alignment with design standards and operational requirements. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, electrical, and project engineering to ensure seamless execution of structural works. Conduct on-site inspections to monitor structural quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety standards. Identify and mitigate potential design risks, construction challenges, and structural issues to ensure project timelines are met. Ensure all structural activities comply with applicable IS codes, international standards, and statutory regulations. Engage with external consultants, contractors, and vendors for specialized structural requirements and solutions. Maintain detailed documentation, including design records, inspection reports, and as-built drawings, for future reference and audits. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). 8–12 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, particularly in metallurgical or heavy industrial plants. Proven experience in projects involving electric arc furnaces, refractory plants, or similar heavy equipment installations. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, or equivalent. Strong knowledge of structural design principles, load calculations, material strengths, and high-temperature considerations. Familiarity with relevant Indian and international codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills. Role & responsibilities
