Lead - Quality

As a Lead - Quality (Quality Assurance & Control) at our company, your role involves overseeing various key responsibilities to ensure the quality management and control processes are effectively implemented. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities: - **Develop and Maintain QMS**: You will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and other relevant certifications. - **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensuring that all fabrication, welding, inspection, and testing procedures adhere to national and international standards, as well as specific customer requirements. - **Audit Management**: Leading and managing all internal, external, customer, and third-party audits, and driving closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) arising from audits or non-conformances. - **Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)**: Overseeing the preparation, approval, and rigorous execution of detailed ITPs for all stages of tank fabrication. - **Material Quality**: Managing the Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for all raw materials and bought-out items to ensure they meet specifications. - **Welding and Fabrication**: Directly supervising welding quality control, overseeing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, and final dimensional inspections. - **Pressure and Leak Testing**: Being responsible for hydrostatic pressure testing, vacuum tests, and leak tests of transformer tanks as per design and customer specifications. - **Surface Treatment**: Ensuring the quality of surface preparation and the final painting system as per required standards. - **Data Analysis**: Monitoring and analyzing key quality metrics and leading problem-solving activities. - **Improvement Initiatives**: Driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and increase process efficiency. - **Team Management**: Training, mentoring, and leading the team of quality engineers and QC inspectors. - **Customer and Vendor Interaction**: Acting as the primary technical point of contact for customer quality inspections and working closely with the supply chain team. - **Inter-Departmental Coordination**: Collaborating with various teams to embed quality processes from the initial design stage through to final dispatch. **Qualification Required:** - **Experience**: 8+ years in quality management, with a minimum of 5 years in heavy fabrication and transformer tank manufacturing. - **Education**: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - **Certifications**: Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) and NDT Level II certification in UT/RT In addition to these responsibilities and qualifications, you should possess the following skills and competencies: - **Skills**: - 8+ years of experience in quality assurance/control, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within a heavy fabrication, transformer tank manufacturing environment. - In-depth, practical working knowledge of Indian and international fabrication standards. - **Competencies**: - Strong Leadership and People Management - Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Attention to Detail - Excellent Communication Skills - Result-Orientated If you are interested in this opportunity, please share your resume at snehal.desai@kryfs.com.
