Job Description

Project description We are seeking a seasoned Lead Python Developer with approximately 10 years of experience to architect, design, and lead the development of robust web applications and RESTful APIs. This role is both hands-on and strategic, requiring deep technical expertise in Python development as well as leadership capabilities to mentor a team and drive delivery excellence.You will play a pivotal role in defining the technology stack, coding standards, DevOps practices, and ensuring the scalability and maintainability of our backend systems. Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and end-to-end development of complex web applications and RESTful APIs using Python.

Guide and mentor a team of Python developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, peer learning, and continuous improvement.

Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold high standards in code quality, security, and maintainability.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and define project timelines.

Evaluate and implement appropriate frameworks and design patterns (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) based on project needs.

Monitor and optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve system reliability and response time.

Own and manage the DevOps pipeline, including CI/CD workflows, deployment strategies, and environment configuration.

Ensure all deliverables follow secure coding practices, meet regulatory compliance standards, and are well-documented.

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve development workflows and architecture.
Skills Must have

10+ years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python.

Proven track record in leading development teams and delivering production-grade web applications and APIs.

Expertise in Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Solid experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

Strong understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and deploying scalable cloud-native applications.

Proficiency in code security, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting in complex distributed systems.

Experience with database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and ORM tools.

Strong knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
