Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Automation

  • Identify manual, repetitive, or high-risk finance processes suitable for automation.
  • Design and implement automated workflows using tools such as RPA, scripts, macros, or low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Collaborate with tech teams to integrate automation solutions with ERP/MSD systems.
  • Perform UAT, documentation, SOP updates, and user training.
  • Monitor automated processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.

2. MSD Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of MSD for finance-linked processes (GRN, invoicing, vendor payments, reconciliations, inventory transactions, etc.).
  • Work with internal teams to gather requirements, map processes, and align configurations with business needs.
  • Coordinate with product/tech partners to design and validate data flows, controls, and exception handling.
  • Conduct detailed testing (UAT/SIT), track defects, and ensure timely closure.
  • Support go-live planning, rollout, and stabilization phases.

3. Data Management & Controls

  • Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions through automated and MSD workflows.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor process performance, TAT, accuracy, and exception trends.
  • Strengthen internal controls and compliance through standardization, validation checks, and audit-ready documentation.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Ops, Procurement, CSO, HR, and Tech teams to build scalable and cross-functional solutions.
  • Train stakeholders on new processes and provide ongoing support for queries and issue resolution.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Finance and Tech teams for systems implementation.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of

    finance operations

    (GRN, invoicing, reconciliations, vendor management, expense management, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with

    process automation

    (RPA tools, Power Automate, scripts, macros, etc.).
  • Experience in

    ERP or workflow system implementation

    (MSD, SAP, Oracle, Zoho, NetSuite, or equivalent).
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to write clear process documents (SOPs, BRDs, test cases).
  • Project management skillsability to plan, manage deadlines, and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • Semi-qualified CA, CMA, or MBA preferred (optional).
  • 2–7 years of experience in finance operations, process excellence, automation, or system implementation.
  • Experience in manufacturing/Supply Chain/Shared Services environments is an added advantage.
