Job Description: Lead - Private Fixed Income Operations

Shift timings: Shift D: 5.30PM to 2.30 AM IST

About the business:

Private Fixed Income Operations is a department within the Investment Services and Operations Group at SLC Management that is responsible for the administration and reporting of all non-public investments and loans to corporations situated in various locations globally. The investment portfolio of approximately $41 billion includes bonds, debentures, limited partnerships, lease securitization and project financing.

About the role:

The Analyst is part of a team that is responsible for the administration and support of the Global Private Fixed Income Portfolio. Specifically, the team is responsible for the source system setup, funding, income collection, account reconciliation, cash management, security safekeeping, and reporting of the Private Fixed Income assets held in various currencies and across multiple portfolios.

The role is for a Middle Office Specialist/Analyst to play a crucial role in supporting investment operations and ensuring the smooth execution of trade, cash, and corporate action lifecycles. The role will include closely working with various teams to maintain accurate trade, cash, and corporate action processing and contribute to the efficiency of operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and report on trade, cash, and corporate action lifecycle activities in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot basic trade, cash, and corporate action issues and identify discrepancies in the data
  • Communicating issues to immediate team members
  • Meeting individual performance targets and contributing to team performance metrics
  • Understand and apply fundamental investment operations concepts
  • Recognize the importance of accurate trade processing and its impact on business goals
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently and manage multiple priorities effectively

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field / Full time MBA (Finance)
  • 4 - 6 years of previous experience in Investment Operations, Asset Servicing, or Financial Administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel - ability to create, manipulate and interpret data/spreadsheets comfortable working with formulas, vlookups, pivot tables
  • Knowledge of financial markets and investment products
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
