Job Summary:

Lead Performance Engineer

Your role will involve scripting, designing, executing, monitoring and reporting on various types of performance tests. Your goal would be establishing a consistent approach to performance testing our solutions to ensure scalability and stability. Various tools will be required to deliver these results. Experience with solutions such as, but not limited to, JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad will be required to accomplish your goals.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, maintain and report on performance test plans, performance test scripts and reports.
• Collaborate with Developers, Testers, DevOps/ Infrastructure teams and Product Owners/ Bas to develop performance test simulations.
• Gather and manage performance test data as needed for performance test simulations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as needed.
• Mentor junior performance engineers and share best practices.
• Refine documentation to reflect continual enhancements in performance testing processes and procedure.
• Other performance duties as assigned.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, BlazeMeter, etc.).
• Performance Monitoring solutions (AppDynamics, OS Metrics.
• Performance OS Metrics.
• Cloud Based Architecture (Aws/Azure, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, JavaScript).
• Automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).

Desired Education, Experience and Competencies:

• B. Tech/ MCA with proven experience of 10+ years in performance testing in cloud environments.
• Proven experience in delivering and reporting upon performance testing activities.
• Strong Understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad.
• Hands-on with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium/Java) and API testing
• tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
• Ability to compare and contrast performance testing tools will be a plus.
• Hands-on experience with scripting, monitoring and reporting on performance testing.
• Experience developing GUI based scripts for monitoring during performance tests
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to develop and execute performance test plans and performance test scripts.
• Ability to Develop and manage comprehensive performance testing plans while collaborating with engineering teams.
• Hands-on with managing multiple performance testing and reporting tools to deliver results.
• Work with Sr. Management to ensure High Level milestones and directives are met.
• Proficient in English communication and strong problem-solving skills with sense of commitment to continual improvement.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, ensuring that the requirements and expectations are fulfilled throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong Time-Management Skills and solution focused approach.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of Performance Testing in a cloud/ distributed environment/ architecture.
• Extensive experience with at least one performance testing tool including, but not limited to, such as JMeter, BlazeMeter, NeoLoad, or Gatling.
• Handson with Performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, BlazeMeter, etc.).
• Performance Monitoring solutions (AppDynamics, OS Metrics.
• Performance OS Metrics.
• Cloud Based Architecture (Aws/Azure, Kubernetes, etc.).
