modernize a legacy Classic ASP application

Key Responsibilities

• Legacy Refactoring:

  Analyze Classic ASP and VBScript code to refactor core business logic into modern C#.

• Application Development:

  Develop robust ASP.NET MVC applications using Razor views and Entity Framework.

• UI/UX Implementation:

  Build responsive, standards-compliant HTML/CSS interfaces and reusable UI components, leveraging or replacing

  Kendo UI

  .

• Architecture & Standards:

  Apply

  OOP and SOLID principles

  to ensure a clean, scalable modular architecture. Establish code standards across the team.

• Security:

  Integrate secure authentication/authorization using ASP.NET Identity or token-based mechanisms (OAuth2/JWT).

• Data Management:

  Utilize

  ADO.NET

  with parameterized queries and write efficient

  LINQ

  and SQL statements for optimized database operations.

• Quality Assurance:

  Conduct unit testing (C#), participate in peer code reviews, and support performance tuning.

• Collaboration:

  Work across offshore-onshore teams, QA, and DevOps to ensure smooth Agile delivery and deployment.

Technical Knowledge & Skill Requirements

Core Backend & Logic:

• 6-8 years

  of hands-on experience with

  ASP.NET MVC, Razor, and C#

  .
• Deep understanding of

  Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  ,

  SOLID principles

  , and clean code practices.
• Exposure to design patterns (Repository, Factory, etc.) and

  Dependency Injection (DI)
