Our client, a leading financial technology partner, seeks a Lead - Backend Developer (Java) who can architect and build scalable systems, mentor junior engineers, and drive performance in production-grade environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead Backend Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and optimise high-availability distributed systems using Java , Spring Boot , and Microservices architecture . System Performance & Scalability: Build robust backend platforms capable of handling millions of secure transactions with minimal latency. DevOps & Infrastructure: Implement and manage containerized environments using Docker , Kubernetes , and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines ( Jenkins ). Messaging & Event Streaming: Ensure seamless message handling and event-driven architectures with Kafka or RabbitMQ . Database Management: Optimize relational and non-relational databases, including Oracle , MySQL , and MongoDB, for performance and reliability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams using Git , JIRA , and Confluence .
