Lead Integration Architect

Role & responsibilities

What youll be doing

Your tasks will mainly consist of:

• Architect / Design Azure Integration Services (AIS) & SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) based solutions to meet the business objectives and enterprise integration reference architectures, patterns & standards.
• Lead the design and development of end-to-end integration architecture blueprints, patterns, and technical specifications for complex, high-volume, and mission-critical business processes.
• Offer architectural recommendations and best practices for implementation and optimizing the Integration solutions based on Azure API Management, Azure Function / Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus / Event Grid, SAP BTP IS (CPI). Experience on Event Driven Architecture Platforms like Solace / SAP Advanced Event Mesh is preferred.
• Manage Integration Architectures of the ongoing initiatives, ensuring successful architecture / designs adhering to the Enterprise Architecture standards / patterns / principles.
• Setting out clear standards for the Integration Architecture and ensuring products are delivering against agreed standards.
• Taking complete accountability of quality of Integration Architectures / designs. Ensure best, efficient, scalable & maintainable solution.
• Lead a small team of Integration Architects ensuring the right architectural / technical leadership.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed integration solutions, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, and Application Owners to translate complex business needs and functional requirements into robust, scalable technical integration designs.

Preferred candidate profile

Your skills and profile would preferable include:

• Overall, 15+ years of experience on various Integration technologies out of which minimum 10+ years of experience in the Integration architecture in Azure API Management, Azure Function / Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus / Event Hub, SAP PI/PO, BTP IS (Cloud Platform Integration)

Azure Integration Services

• Expert Proficiency in key Azure Integration Services: Azure Logic Apps (Workflow orchestration), Azure API Management (APIM) (API gateway, policy configuration, security), Azure Service Bus (Messaging, queuing, topics), Azure Event Grid and/or Azure Event Hubs (Event-driven architecture), Azure Functions (Serverless compute for custom code).
• Strong understanding of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and integration deployment (e.g., ARM/Bicep templates, Terraform).
• Experience with Azure security best practices (e.g., Key Vault, Private Link, Authentication/Authorization).

SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI)

• Proficiency in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI/HCI), including design, development, deployment, and monitoring of iFlows.
• Good knowledge of SAP Integration Suite components, including API Management, Event Mesh, and Integration Advisor.
• Experience with various SAP adapters (IDoc, SOAP, OData, RFC, REST) and connectivity to core SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC).
• Familiarity with groovy script/Java for complex mapping and transformations in CPI.

Core Integration Concepts

• Extensive experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, OData, and different security protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, Basic Auth, Client Certificates).
• Expertise in Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIPs), APIs, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
• Proficiency in data mapping, transformation, and complex data modeling.
