Job Description

Qualys is looking for a Lead Front-end Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in creating modern, intuitive, data-driven webapps and mobile apps for their SaaS products. As a Lead Front-end Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with UX/UI designers and other engineers to lead, design, prototype, and build technical projects across the organization. In this role, you will also be involved in mentoring and coaching other front-end engineers, developing proof of concepts, evaluating new technologies, and staying updated on industry trends to drive technical innovations. You will provide technical direction within and across groups, champion best practices for scalability, reliability, and performance optimizations, and ensure seamless customer experience by working closely with Product Managers and the Engineering team. To qualify for this position, you should have at least 7 years of front-end development experience and a strong grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including an excellent understanding of browser DOM. You should be a JavaScript expert with knowledge of lexical scoping, closures, and OO JavaScript, along with proficiency in frameworks like ReactJS. Experience in designing, building, and operating high-performance front-end systems, client-side technologies, modern frameworks, mobile app development using React Native, building responsive UI, debugging, testing tools, accessibility standards, front-end security best practices, building Progressive Web Apps, and modern coding and design practices are essential qualifications for this role. Knowledge of back-end technologies and their integration with front-end systems will be an added advantage.,
