Lead Engineer

The company has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer specializing in Honeywell DCS/Automation Systems in Dubai, UAE. As the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading automation engineering projects related to design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of control systems. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of Honeywell Experion HS/LX, Plantcruise C300 Controllers, Safety Manager SC, and Controledge, ML200, UOC/HC900. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills in project execution and client coordination. Key responsibilities include leading the engineering, configuration, FAT/SAT, and commissioning of Honeywell DCS/SCADA systems. You will be responsible for designing control system architecture, developing control logic, HMI graphics, alarm management, and historian reports. The role also involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards such as SIL, IEC61511, and cyber security. The Lead Engineer will be expected to lead a team of engineers, provide mentoring, task delegation, and progress monitoring. Additionally, the role requires the preparation of detailed project documentation including I/O lists, FDS, DDS, Cause & Effect, and loop diagrams. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8-10 years of automation experience, with at least 5 years in Honeywell DCS/PLC systems. The required skills and qualifications include hands-on experience in Control Builder, HMIWeb, History Database, and Alarm Management. Knowledge of loop testing, function testing, and instrument commissioning is essential, along with familiarity with network protocols such as Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills are also vital for this role.
