Job Title: Lead Engineer / Solution Architect Reports To: CTO Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer who can also take on the role of a Solution Architect for our dynamic engineering team. In this combined role, you will provide technical leadership, mentorship to junior engineers, and oversee the design and development of complex solutions, ensuring product quality, adherence to engineering processes, and successful project execution. You will also have end-to-end responsibility for the architecture and technical solutions of various products. Responsibilities: Provide technical direction and leadership for a team of engineers, ensuring effective project execution and alignment with business goals. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and career development. Lead the design and development of new products and features, ensuring they meet both technical specifications and quality standards. Ensure that engineering processes are followed throughout the development lifecycle, from planning to deployment. Maintain product quality by ensuring compliance with engineering standards, industry best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee the architecture design of products, focusing on scalability, performance, and integration of the technology stack. Define and implement technical solutions to address business needs, aligning with the overall enterprise architecture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and other engineering teams, to define technical requirements. Act as a Solution Architect, ensuring end-to-end technical design for product features and systems, including API design, system integration, and database architecture. Leverage technologies such as Java (AngularJS, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA), REST APIs, SOAP services, DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Docker), and Agile methodologies. Execute end-to-end project delivery, including solution architecture, development, and deployment, ensuring smooth transitions from design to execution. Requirements & Skills: A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong expertise in engineering principles and processes, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers. Technical proficiency in Java, Front End Development (AngularJS, Spring Boot), REST API, SOAP services, Hibernate, JPA, Agile methodologies, and Enterprise Architecture. End-to-end experience in delivering projects as a Solution Architect, ensuring proper architecture, integration, and scalability. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools like Service Manager, XLRelease, Kubernetes, and Docker. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex technical issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Proven track record in project management and working in Agile environments. TOGAF certification or similar enterprise architecture frameworks is a plus. Leadership abilities to drive engineering excellence while fostering an innovative and collaborative work culture.
