Lead Engineer

Role Overview: As a Lead Python developer at FICO, you will play a crucial role in building leading data science tools for advanced analytics for the Open Model Execution Service product. You will have the opportunity to solve complex analytic problems using machine learning and explainable artificial intelligence (xAI) and share innovative solutions with global customers. Working alongside talented analytical and engineering professionals, you will enhance your skills and contribute to the company's success. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, design, implement, and test Python APIs, algorithms, and examples for data scientists to address all aspects of the predictive modeling lifecycle. - Collaborate with data scientists, QA engineers, and UX designers to create efficient pipelines for data transformation, machine learning model training, and model testing and monitoring. - Identify, enhance, and design datasets for quality testing, stress testing, and showcasing novel data science algorithms. - Engage with internal users, clients, and pre-sales engineers to develop valuable solutions, proofs of value, demonstrations, and educational materials. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, mathematics, operations research, or natural science fields. - 7 to 10+ years of hands-on experience in predictive modeling and data science using Python. - Proficiency in designing and developing reusable Python API packages for consumption by other teams working on data science projects. - Experience with Rest and GRPC API, software development methodologies, performance tuning, test-driven development, and debugging. - Familiarity with ML Operations, python ML packages, and additional experience with java, Kafka, Spring boot, Kubernetes, and helm is a plus.
