Lead Electrical Engineer

As a Lead Electrical Engineer with over 14 years of experience in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil and Gas, FMCG, Industrial, and Data Center industries, you will be responsible for managing a small team of 5 to 6 working engineers. Your core strengths will include preparing and reviewing Basis of Design, Load List, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Layouts, Material Take-Off (MTO), and providing procurement assistance. You must have hands-on experience with Indian and International codes for design purposes and possess strong interdisciplinary coordination skills. In this role, you will lead a team of electrical engineers and designers for electrical activities of the project, engaging in all electrical aspects assigned to you. Coordination with various stakeholders such as clients, internal disciplines like Projects, Piping, Mechanical, Architect, Civil, and Vendors will be crucial. Effective communication with all parties involved, resolving site issues promptly, and ensuring successful delivery of electricals for the project with minimal guidance are key responsibilities. You will be accountable for the timely completion of designs, requisitions, and engineering deliverables while adhering to Department Work Instructions and Quality Management System (QMS) Manual. Participation in client-facing meetings, providing solutions to meet project objectives, monitoring and controlling project schedule and productivity, and mentoring resources within the team for achieving project goals will also be part of your duties. Your role will involve detailed engineering tasks such as preparing Basis of Design, Load List, reviewing SLDs for power distribution optimization, sizing transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, and Battery Chargers, as well as cable sizing calculations and equipment layout. You will coordinate with various departments, review design drawings and calculations, handle requisitions, vendor document reviews, and tender documents. Knowledge of system studies and relay settings will be advantageous. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the inspection of specialized electrical equipment if required and should possess good communication skills.
