Job Summary:

The Lead EHS (Plant) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs at the plant level. The role ensures compliance with statutory requirements, drives safety culture, and promotes sustainable environmental practices to achieve a safe and healthy workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all EHS initiatives and programs at the plant.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning.
Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and SOPs for plant operations.
Organize safety training programs and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and incident investigations; recommend corrective actions.
Monitor waste management, pollution control, water conservation, and energy efficiency measures.
Liaise with government and regulatory bodies for EHS audits, permits, and statutory filings.
Lead emergency response planning, fire safety drills, and crisis management initiatives.
Prepare periodic EHS performance reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
