Lead DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and driven DevOps Engineer with 7-12 years of experience to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, and containerization, along with hands-on experience in CI/CD, Python, shell scripting, and tools like Jenkins, Docker, and ArgoCD.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and manage highly scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and other DevOps tools.

Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.

Deploy and operate containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python and shell scripts.

Implement GitOps workflows for continuous delivery using tools like ArgoCD and Helm.

Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure and services.

Define and implement robust monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the development lifecycle.

Drive automation, standardization, and repeatability across infrastructure deployments.

Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements throughout the DevOps processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

8-12 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.

Strong experience in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure VMs, Networking, and IAM.

Proficient in Kubernetes cluster operations, workloads, and service mesh concepts.

Expert-level knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and IaC.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

Solid experience with Docker and container orchestration.

Strong programming/scripting skills in Python and Bash/Shell.

Experience with ArgoCD, Helm, and GitOps deployment strategies.

Deep understanding of DevOps principles, including continuous integration, testing, and delivery.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Azure Monitor).

Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as:

Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate

Experience with Infrastructure as Code beyond Terraform (e.g., Bicep, Pulumi).

Exposure to Service Mesh (e.g., Istio), API Gateway, and advanced Kubernetes patterns
