Lead Designer

Atkinsrealis is one of the largest engineering and design consultancy in the UK, the largest multidisciplinary consultancy in Europe and one of the largest design firms in the world This key post will be based out of Cairo office and will offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to apply knowledge, experience and problem-solving skills whilst providing good opportunities We offer a diverse and challenging workplace and culture with multiregional projects and a team/management who believe and support staff development and career progression Your role Job Duties To perform the Lead Designer role, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following: To be part of Atkins Middle East delivery team To Liaise with the Lead Project Offices (LPOs) and the GTC Multi Discipline team To assist in delivering a range of projects related to Infrastructure utilities design and planning Knowledge of multidisciplinary projects to comply with the relevant CAD/BIM Standards Develop project deliverables, particularly drawings and reports in accordance with client scope, budget, and quality requirements Skills 8 -10 years in AutoCAD Civil 3D, detailing experience involving work associated with MV, LV, Street lighting, Telecom, ICT, Gravity and Pressure networks Extensive experience of detailing Dry and Wet infrastructure utilities Coordination with subconsultants and Design Engineers Prepare and Check Drawings (Layouts, Long Sections, Schedules, Typical drawings) Evaluate engineering alternatives and resolve technical issues Plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner Review and prepare preliminary sketches/drawings etc as per the markup provided by the Engineers Create, edit, and label alignments, Civil 3D parcels, and corridors Create feature lines and surfaces Prepare and check plan and profiles of utilities including creation of pipe networks, editing, and changing parts and styles (Catch basins/Manholes Fire Hydrants etc) To support in utility Clash resolution activities (Navisworks/Civil 3D/Revit) Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments Experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment Ability to communicate and coordinate on assigned tasks with the multi-Discipline teams About You Education and Experience Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline with 5+ years experience in modelling and design experience Reward & benefits Explore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive at every stage of your life and your career This Includesprehensive life insurance coverage Premium medical insurance for you and your dependents Generous annual leave balance Flexible and hybrid work solutions Remote work opportunities outside of country pany gratuity scheme Discretionary bonus program Relocation assistance Employee Wellbeing Program: 24/7 access to specialists in finance, legal matters, family care, personal health, fitness, and nutrition Seize every opportunity to sharpen your skills, expand your expertise, and be recognized for the impact you make About AtkinsRalis We're AtkinsRalis, a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization We connect people, data and technology to transform the world's'infrastructure and energy systems Together, with our industry partners and clients, and our global team of consultants, designers, engineers and project managers, we can change the world We're committed to leading our clients across our various end markets to engineer a better future for our planet and its people Find out more
