Lead Design Engineer- Heavy structures, Chassis

As a Lead Engineer at Fontaine Specialized in Bangalore, your role involves managing projects and teams while handling individual deliverables. You'll be reporting to the Project Lead and focusing on engineering activities related to Heavy Haul and Specialized Trailers. Your qualifications should include a B.E./B.Tech./M.E/M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 6-10 years of experience, with at least 2 years in leading teams and projects. Key Responsibilities: - Execute and lead sustaining engineering projects, which include designing, creating drawings, restructuring BOM, and overseeing product roll-out activities. - Utilize NX CAD software to create 3D models and engineering drawings for Trailers. - Review designs, 3D models, and drawings to ensure they meet fit, form, and function requirements. - Participate in design reviews and offer technical expertise to product development programs. - Drive value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) through component modularization based on commodity categories or supplier strategies. - Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose design modifications for existing product lines. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are successfully achieved. - Stay abreast of the latest research and technology breakthroughs in sheet metal forming, welding, and casting processes. - Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities by participating in training programs, workshops, and conferences. - Mentor trainee engineers and junior engineers to enhance their technical skills as part of your lead role.,
