Job Description

As the Lead Data Scientist at Finicity, a Mastercard company, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of data scientists in developing production-grade services and capabilities. Your role will involve planning and directing data science and machine learning projects, designing and implementing machine learning models for various financial applications, and measuring and improving the performance of these models. You will be expected to propose creative solutions to challenges in the financial industry, present technical findings to internal and external stakeholders, and leverage best practices in machine learning and data engineering to develop scalable solutions. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in data science and machine learning model development and deployments. Exposure to financial transactional structured and unstructured data, as well as experience in transaction classification, risk evaluation, and credit risk modeling would be advantageous. Additionally, you should possess a strong understanding of NLP, Statistical Modeling, Visualization, and advanced Data Science techniques. Proficiency in SQL and database management is preferred, along with experience in technologies such as Kubernetes, Containers, Docker, REST APIs, and Event Streams. Furthermore, you should have familiarity with relevant tools and frameworks like Tensorflow, Python, Sklearn, and Pandas. Your ability to collaborate effectively and come up with innovative solutions will be crucial in this role. Ideally, you should have a background in Finance or FinTech and hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics. In addition to your technical skills, you should demonstrate a commitment to corporate security responsibilities. This includes abiding by Mastercard's security policies, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of accessed information, reporting any security breaches, and completing mandatory security trainings as required. Your role as a Lead Data Scientist at Finicity will involve driving innovation and problem-solving in the data science and analytics team to contribute to the financial health of consumers and businesses.,
