BDIPlus is currently seeking a Lead Data Scientist for our office located in Bangalore.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist who can define, develop, and scale ML/AI-based modules and features for our product chatCDP.ai using a data-driven approach. chatCDP.ai simplifies the overly complicated process of extracting data, visualizing it, and generating predictions and prescriptions using natural language.**

A strong candidate should have a proven track record of building products from 0 to 1 - either as a solopreneur or by leading teams of highly skilled and motivated individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth data analysis, statistical modeling, and hypothesis testing to uncover trends and patterns.
• Develop, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Communicate findings and insights through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to implement data-driven solutions.
• Monitor model performance and continuously improve analytical frameworks.

Required Skills and Experience:

• MS or PhD in a quantitative field, with 7+ years of experience in a highly quantitative role, navigating ambiguous environmentsideally as an early data scientist at a hyper-growth company or research organization.
• Demonstrated experience in deep learning and transformer models.
• Prior experience in NLP, large language models, or generative AI.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Experience defining, implementing, and operationalizing new product features from scratch.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Ability to move quickly in environments where priorities may shift and definitions may be loose.
• Ownership mindsetcomfortable picking up new knowledge as needed to get the job done.
• Pragmatic approach, comfortable shipping iteratively while building toward a long-term vision.
