Lead Data Engineer

Role Overview: As a Strong Data Architect, Lead Data Engineer, Engineering Manager / Director in our company, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data engineering systems from the early stages. Your expertise in large data technologies and hands-on tech development will be instrumental in creating scalable and maintainable data architectures. Key Responsibilities: - Possess 10+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with at least 2+ years in a leadership position - Demonstrate 7+ years of hands-on tech development experience with Java (highly preferred) or Python, Node.JS, GoLang - Showcase recent 4+ years of experience with high-growth product startups, specifically in implementing data engineering systems - Utilize strong experience in large data technologies such as HDFS, YARN, Map-Reduce, Hive, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, Presto, etc. - Exhibit expertise in high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) to create scalable and maintainable data architectures - Lead and manage a team of at least 5+ data engineers, showcasing your leadership skills and experience Qualifications Required: - Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering roles - Hold a bachelor's degree from a Tier-1 college, preferably IIT - Experience in hands-on tech development with Java or other relevant programming languages - Strong background in high-growth product startups and implementing data engineering systems - Expertise in large data technologies and tools like HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc. - Proven experience in managing teams of data engineers - Familiarity with high-level and low-level design for scalable data architectures - Previous experience in B2B product companies with high data-traffic is preferred (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description.),
