Lead Cost Modelling

Role Overview: You will be responsible for providing middle office support for the commodity trading team and cost modeling team at our Bangalore office with regular interactions with our UK-based teams. The ideal candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of work and skilled in collaborating with stakeholders across different teams and organizations. Key Responsibilities: - Creating and maintaining commodity cost models - Generating governance and other reports from these models - Developing expert knowledge of commodity markets and P&L to identify and resolve issues - Acting as the primary contact between UK teams and the commodity support team - Providing guidance to the commodities support admin team - Leading the onboarding of suppliers to a new online cost modeling system - Driving a culture of continuous improvement - Implementing CI projects and innovations within the team - Ensuring compliance with the Business Code of Conduct - Acting with integrity and due diligence at all times - Supporting the development and implementation of new commodities reports - Providing expertise in cost modeling for the commodities team Qualifications Required: - Advanced Excel proficiency - Stakeholder management skills - Ability to work independently - Experience in retail or grocery procurement - Exposure to SQL and Tableau - A quantitative degree would be beneficial for this role Note: Tesco offers a competitive reward package, including performance bonuses, 30 days of leave, retirement benefits, health and wellness programs, financial coaching, and other perks.
