Lead - Cloud DevOps Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineering Lead at ZEISS in India, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance of systems using cloud computing platforms like Azure. Your role will involve designing and implementing container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to build reliable systems. You will also be proficient in setting up monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for early issue detection and resolution. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team of SREs, providing guidance, support, and coaching - Advocate for SRE best practices and principles within the organization - Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in site reliability engineering - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Software Developers, Product Owners, and Cloud Platform Engineers - Work on incident management, troubleshooting, and post-mortem analysis - Define processes for migrating between different Cloud Platforms while ensuring reliability for business offerings - Drive the design and implementation of observability, alerting, self-healing, and automation capabilities - Define and drive observability for self-developed software and managed cloud components - Own availability, performance, and supportability targets for the service Qualifications Required: - 8-12 years of relevant industry experience - Minimum 3 years as a Site Reliability Engineering Lead - Minimum 5 years experience as a Site Reliability Engineer - Proficiency in cloud computing platforms like Azure - In-depth knowledge of system architecture, networking, and microservice-based distributed systems - Hands-on experience with container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes - Proficiency in monitoring, alerting, and logging systems - Experience in incident management and troubleshooting - Knowledge of infrastructure automation and monitoring tools like Terraform - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams At ZEISS in India, you will be part of a dynamic team with a strong focus on innovation and technology.
