Ladies Westernwear Designer

As a Ladies Westernwear Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing trend-forward westernwear collections for women to be exported to global markets. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing a variety of western garments such as dresses, tops, trousers, skirts, and outerwear. - Researching international fashion trends, colors, silhouettes, and trims suitable for diverse markets. - Creating mood boards, detailed sketches, CADs, and tech packs for each collection. - Collaborating with merchandisers, buyers, and sampling teams to ensure designs align with client expectations. - Overseeing the sampling process and ensuring high-quality standards are met. - Working closely with production and quality teams to ensure a seamless transition from design to bulk production. To qualify for this role, you will need: - A Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design from a recognized institute. - Strong understanding of western silhouettes, garment construction, fabrics, and trims. - Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar. - Good communication and presentation skills. - Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet strict deadlines. Preferred skills that would be beneficial for this role include: - Familiarity with international sizing and fit standards (US/UK/EU markets). - Experience working with overseas buyers and understanding buyer tech packs. - Knowledge of surface development including prints and embroideries suitable for westernwear.
