You are a creative and detail-oriented Ladieswear Designer with experience in designing western garments for export markets. Your primary responsibility will be to design trend-forward westernwear collections for women, including dresses, tops, trousers, skirts, and outerwear. You will be required to research international fashion trends, colors, silhouettes, and trims suitable for global markets to create mood boards, detailed sketches, CADs, and tech packs for each collection. Collaboration with merchandisers, buyers, and sampling teams is crucial to ensure design execution aligns with client expectations. You will also oversee sampling to ensure high-quality standards are met and work closely with production and quality teams for a smooth transition from design to bulk. To qualify for this role, you must have a Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design from a recognized institute and a strong understanding of western silhouettes, garment construction, fabrics, and trims. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or similar is necessary, along with good communication and presentation skills. You should be capable of handling multiple client accounts and meeting strict deadlines. Preferred skills include familiarity with international sizing and fit standards (US/UK/EU markets), experience working with overseas buyers, understanding buyer tech packs, and knowledge of surface development like prints and embroideries suitable for westernwear.
