Laboratory Technician

Role Overview: As a Laboratory Technician, your primary responsibility will be to collect, receive, label, and analyze samples or substances using the correct testing equipment. You will be designing and executing laboratory testing in accordance with standard procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings. It will be crucial for you to maintain accurate records of all experimental data and test results in the specified format. Additionally, you will be organizing and storing chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases following safety instructions to ensure compliance with safety guidelines within the laboratory. Your duties will also include maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, providing technical support, and staying informed about scientific and technical developments. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, receive, label, and analyze samples or substances using the correct testing equipment - Design and execute laboratory testing in line with standard procedures - Record observations and interpret findings - Organize and store chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions - Ensure adherence to safety guidelines within the laboratory - Maintain daily logs and equipment record books - Clean, sterilize, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment - Order laboratory supplies as needed - Provide technical support when required - Keep up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc.) - Previous experience working in a laboratory setting - Familiarity with standard laboratory procedures and equipment - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data - Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols (Note: The job is full-time and permanent, with opportunities for evening, morning, night, and rotational shifts.
