Radiology Technician

As a radiology technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing patients for imaging procedures and capturing high-quality X-ray images and other medical images. Your primary responsibility will be to assist medical doctors in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating illnesses and injuries. Your key responsibilities will include: - Patient Preparation and Positioning: You will prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, answering their questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety. - Image Acquisition: Operating and maintaining imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines to capture high-quality images. - Radiation Safety: Implementing and maintaining radiation safety protocols to minimize patient and staff exposure to radiation. - Image Processing: Processing and evaluating images to ensure they are clear and diagnostic, and assisting in image interpretation. - Patient Monitoring: Monitoring patients during imaging procedures, observing for any adverse reactions or complications, and providing appropriate care. - Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and organized patient records, including imaging data and procedures. - Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that imaging equipment is functioning properly and maintained according to safety standards. - Collaboration: Working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. - Education: Educating patients on imaging procedures and safety protocols. - Sterilization and Storage: Ensuring proper sterilization and storage of equipment.
