Laboratory Assistant

Job Summary:

The Lab Assistant in the Chemistry Department is responsible for supporting practical laboratory sessions, maintaining laboratory equipment and chemicals, and ensuring a safe and well-organized laboratory environment for students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare chemicals, solutions, and apparatus for practical laboratory sessions
2. Assist faculty during laboratory experiments and demonstrations
3. Maintain proper records of chemicals, consumables, and equipment
4. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of chemicals as per safety standards
5. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and discipline in the laboratory
6. Operate, clean, and perform basic maintenance of laboratory instruments
7. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety rules and procedures
8. Report any damaged equipment, chemical shortages, or safety hazards immediately
9. Support students during experiments by guiding on equipment usage
10. Assist in stock verification and annual inventory audits

Educational Qualificatio

Minimum: M.Sc. in Chemistry or relevant subject

Diploma in Laboratory Technology is an added advantage

Freshers may apply

12 years of laboratory experience preferred
