Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Lab Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team specializing in lab operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine lab tests, sample processing, ensuring quality control, assisting to improve Client staff improvements and supporting the customer. The role requires knowledge in laboratory operations and communication with Customer teams.

Role and Responsibilities:

1) Sample Collection, Handling & Registration:

• Collect patient samples when required, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
• Receive, register, and label patient samples with accuracy.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure traceability of all samples.

2) Laboratory Testing & Sample Processing:

• Perform DNA PLOIDY tests and analyses in the lab, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Process samples as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and maintain proper documentation.
• Scan and maintain slides with precision, ensuring proper storage and traceability
• Coordinate with doctors by providing scanned slides, test results, and necessary data to support accurate review and report generation.

3) Laboratory Operations & Quality Control:

• Carry out routine laboratory processes while maintaining high quality standards.
• Conduct regular equipment calibration and quality checks to ensure reliable test results.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of biohazard waste in compliance with laboratory safety practices.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate with technical teams for timely repairs or upgrades.

4) Inventory Management & Procurement:

• Monitor and maintain adequate stock of chemicals, kits, slides, and other laboratory consumables.
• Coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment of supplies when required.

5) Documentation & Data Management:

• Maintain accurate logs and records for all laboratory activities.
• Ensure all laboratory data and reports are organized, accurate, and audit-ready.

6) Training & Development:

• Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated with new laboratory methods and technologies.
• Assist in training new staff on laboratory processes, equipment handling, and safety procedures.

7) Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and disposal procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: BSc (Microbiology) / Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT), or related fields.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a lab environment (freshers with strong skills are also encouraged to apply)
• Core Skills:

1. Technical Ability: Skilled in using laboratory tools and equipment, including droppers, pipettes, and other sample-handling instruments, with strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, sample handling procedures, diagnostic techniques, and quality control practices.

2. Right Attitude: Professional, responsible, and willing to learn and adapt in a healthcare environment.

3. Communication Skills: Effective in interacting with patients, colleagues, and customers, ensuring clarity and teamwork in all laboratory and clinical operations.

4. Computer Proficiency: Ability to enter data, manage reports, and use basic computer applications for laboratory documentation and communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
