Job Description

As a Lab Assistant in the Science and IT departments, your role involves providing support for various operations within the school. You are expected to have hands-on experience in electronics and project making for science exhibitions, coupled with a solid understanding of basic IT maintenance and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: - Assist teachers and students in conducting science experiments and demonstrations. - Help design, build, and maintain science models and projects, especially focusing on electronics and applied sciences. - Provide technical guidance and innovative ideas for the annual science exhibition and related events. - Ensure proper maintenance, cataloguing, and safe storage of laboratory equipment and materials. - Prepare chemicals, apparatus, and tools required for experiments as instructed by teachers. - Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the science labs consistently. IT Support & Maintenance: - Oversee and maintain computers, projectors, smart boards, printers, and network connections in classrooms and labs. - Collaborate with the IT vendor for software updates, troubleshooting, and hardware repairs. - Offer basic technical assistance to staff and students for IT-related issues. - Support digital initiatives, online assessments, and technology-based learning tools. - Manage technical setups for school events, including audio-visual systems and presentations. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree or diploma in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, or related fields. - Strong practical knowledge of electronic components, circuits, sensors, and experience with Arduino/Raspberry Pi is preferred. - Proficiency in basic computer troubleshooting, networking, and software installation. - Creativity and resourcefulness demonstrated through hands-on experience in making science projects or working on school exhibitions. - Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and students. Experience: - 1-3 years of experience as a Lab Assistant, IT Support Technician, or in a similar technical support role. - Freshers with strong technical and electronic project skills may also be considered. Please note that this is a full-time position with benefits including Provident Fund, and the work location is in person.,
