Lab Analyst

• To manage and execute laboratory analysis for the samples from Coal (Syngas) to Methanol Pilot Plant, CCU Plant & Gasification Projects, ensuring high-quality data and maintaining lab standards.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for comprehensive lab analysis and troubleshooting of analytical instruments.
• Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of analyzers and lab equipment used in plant analysis.
• Perform analysis during short-term trial campaigns and process the resulting data.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for all tests conducted during lab trials and pilot campaigns.
• Manage the availability of lab utilities and consumables.
• Conduct sampling and on-site analysis at project sites (short-term deputations as required).
• Work in shifts to support a 24/7 operation during pilot trials.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in analyzing samples using instruments such as Gas Chromatography (GC-FID, GC-TCD), Ion Chromatography (IC), Karl Fischer Titrator, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, and manual/automated titrations
• Ability to analyze physical properties: oxidative stability, closed cup flash point, viscosity, etc.
• Proficient in calibration and validation of analytical methods and instruments.
• Skilled in preventive maintenance and minor repairs of lab instruments.
• Willingness to work in shifts and travel for site sampling and analysis.
• Strong documentation skills, adhering to standard lab practices and protocols.
• Collaborative team player capable of working in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance in laboratory operations.
• Innovative mindset for developing and optimizing new analytical techniques.
