CNOC and SOC Technician - Level I - Bangalore, India

Our technology provides core infrastructure for Samsung and Samsung partner applications that scale to billions of clients. We re looking for a Customer Network Operations Center (CNOC) & SOC Technician to join our team in an office-based environment in Bangalore, India, to provide front-line monitoring and triage support for application, server, network performance and security events. This hybrid role involves real-time alert handling, basic incident investigation, and escalation to L2 teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of os/networking fundamentals, a keen eye for security anomalies, and a passion for problem-solving in high-stakes environments. These team members will provide 24x7x365 operational support for Joyents global networks.

Responsibilities
Monitor cloud infrastructure, including compute and storage systems, to ensure availability and performance. Detect, classify, and respond to events related to network and compute systems in real time. Actively participate in Incident Management, as well as Problem and Change Management processes. Work within a 24x7x365 shift rotation in an on-site environment, with flexibility to provide additional coverage as needed. Deliver Level 1 support for server and network-related issues, escalating according to established procedures. Accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and utilize knowledge base articles to resolve incidents and complete tasks. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership to support operational needs. Required Qualifications
1+ year of experience in system administration, Security Operations Center (SOC), or Network Operations Center (NOC) roles, with evidence of progressively increasing responsibilities. A strong sense of intellectual curiosity and a genuine desire to learn and grow in the field of cloud infrastructure and operations. A self-motivated, proactive attitude with the drive to gain hands-on experience in advanced cloud computing technologies. Willingness and availability to work in a 24x7x365 shift-based environment within an on-site NOC/SOC facility. Solid understanding of incident handling processes for IT infrastructure issues. Foundational knowledge of networking concepts and familiarity with basic switch commands. Demonstrated analytical thinking, with effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Working familiarity with Linux operating systems, especially for basic administrative tasks and command-line operations. Hands-on experience conducting SOP based actions on system and network in high-availability or production data center environments. Exposure to health and performance monitoring tools such as OpenNMS, Nagios, or Grafana. Experience using IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) for incident tracking and workflow management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide clear status updates. Comfortable following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for routine and emergency operational tasks. This position is located in Bangalore, India
Additional Competencies
Experience with automation scripting, particularly using Python or Bash, is highly desirable. Possession of a Security+ certification is a strong advantage. Prior hands-on experience with server, network, and security operations is preferred. Familiarity with both on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes. Recent graduates in relevant fields (e.g., Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science) are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in the Korean language is considered a plus.
