Job Description

As a Kafka Admin with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, your main responsibilities will include: - Performing Kafka Cluster build, which involves designing, infrastructure planning, ensuring High Availability, and Disaster Recovery. - Implementing wire encryption using SSL, authentication using SASL/LDAP, and authorization using Kafka ACLs in various components such as Zookeeper, Broker/Client, Connect cluster/connectors, Schema Registry, REST API, Producers/Consumers, and Ksql. - Carrying out high-level, day-to-day administration and support functions. - Managing upgrades for the Kafka Cluster landscape across Development, Test, Staging, and Production/DR systems. - Creating key performance metrics to measure utilization, performance, and overall health of the cluster. - Conducting capacity planning and implementing new/upgraded hardware, software releases, and storage infrastructure. - Researching and recommending innovative ways to maintain the environment and automate key database level tasks (SQL, PLSQL). - Having exposure to standard optimization techniques. Required Skills for the Kafka Admin role: - Kafka Admin experience.
