Junior Technician

Role & responsibilities

• Register Customer Service Requests (CSR) in the ERP system.
  
• Create and maintain accurate service records and information in the company ERP database.
  
• Manage the in-house vacuum pump repair process, including tracking all incoming repair jobs, coordinating loading/unloading activities, and placing products in the designated storage areas.
  
• Perform in-house vacuum pump repairs, carry out testing, and coordinate with other departments for the shipment of repaired pumps.
  
• File and maintain all service-related documentation systematically.
  
• Maintain service tools and keep up-to-date records of their usage and condition.
  
• Identify correct spare parts required for repair and inform the respective sales team for further action.
  
• Write accurate service reports in English and submit them promptly upon completion of repair work.
  
• Identify whether a case is under warranty or not and explain the same to the supervisor.
  
• Attend pump installation and commissioning (I&C) requests, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues at customer sites when required (travel across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra).
  
• Provide feedback to relevant departments on issues identified during site visits, such as incorrect material supply, engineering faults, or improper wiring.
  
• Collect and document customer feedback regarding service quality and product performance.
  
• Be aware of and adhere to safety standards at customer sites
  

Preferred candidate profile

1. Preference for candidates with experience in mechanical maintenance.
   
2. Experience in vacuum pump repair work is preferred, with essential skills in repairing mechanical equipment such as vacuum pumps, centrifugal pumps, and gas compressors using the correct tools and methods.
   
3. Should have basic knowledge of electrical wiring, temperature and pressure sensors, and PLC operations.
   
4. Should understand and be able to use general tools and measuring instruments.
   
5. Willing to travel for outstation visits as required.
   
6. Must be physically strong and fit to handle heavy-duty mechanical work.
   
7. Should possess soft skills such as the ability to write reports in English and basic knowledge of operating a PC or laptop, including Excel and Word.
   
8. Should be capable of handling data in ERP systems and Excel.
