Junior Stores Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Physical verification and taking over of all spares, ensuring accurate documentation, proper identification, and systematic location arrangement to maintain organized and efficient store operations.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all spares and consumables stored both inside and outside the warehouse.
• Manage all inbound and outbound material movements in coordination with the C&P department, technical team, and security personnel.
• Oversee daily store activities including material issuance, receipts, returns, rejections, codification, tagging, preservation, location management, gate pass handling, Min-Max inventory control, logistics coordination, physical verification, MIS preparation, and adherence to FIFO practices.
• Prepare and update MIS reports regularly for submission to management.
• Conduct regular stock audits to maintain accuracy and control over inventory.
• Manage logistics activities and coordinate with transporters, shippers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless and cost-effective movement of goods and consignments.
• Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations.
• Oversee the usage and maintenance of material-handling equipment and weighbridge to ensure safe and efficient operation
• For eligible indents, float the enquiry to qualified vendors and collect their technical and commercial offers. Conduct a concise techno-commercial analysis to compare and evaluate the bids, and award the Purchase Order (PO) to the vendor providing the most compliant and cost-effective solution.

Preferred candidate profile

• Detailed knowledge of industrial warehouse/stores and inventory management
• Knowledge of handling ERP/Material Management Software like SAP
• Familiar with material management activities like material issues, receipts, return, rejection, material codification & tagging, material preservation, material location arrangement, gate pass system, Min-Max management, logistics activities, documentation, physical verfication, MIS preparation, etc
• Experience in LNG/Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Chemical / Cryogenic / Power Industry shall be preferred
