Junior Officer Fire & Safety (Gr-I)

Essential functions of the position

• Handling all Emergencies during plant operations.
• Ensure all Fixed and Portable Fire Protection System are healthy and ready to use
• Ensure fire water pumps are inspected & maintained regularly.
• Ensure fire fighting vehicles are operational during all the times.
• Ensure fire team is trained to handle emergency conditions & imparting routine drills to the fire crew on various emergencies.
• Attend Mock drills, Fire Safety Audit, OISD audit, Third party Inspection audit
• Attend any breakdown related to Fixed, Mobile and Portable firefighting system.
• Ensure availability of various fire fighting equipment spares as per the site conditions
• Impart HSEF training to IOLPL Employee and Contract workers.
• Exposure to maintenance of fire pumps and other fire fighting equipment

Essential Skills and Experience

1.Fire fighting systems operation and maintenance

2. Handling Fire crew on a day to day basis

3. HSEF Training of the workforce.

4. Exposure to working in hydrocarbon industries preferably
LNG/LPG/Refineries/Petrochemicals/Fertilizers taking care of Fire protection related jobs.

Preference in experience

1. Experience in any process plant/terminal.

2. Should have hands on experience in manning a fire station having a minimum of 8 fire crew
members.

3. Should have basic knowledge on the OISD, NFPA standards pertaining to fire fighting, fire
protections.

4. Should possess valid Heavy license.

Essential Qualification

Full Time Graduate in any discipline & Diploma in Fire & Safety / Diploma in Industrial Safety (3 years)/BSc in Fire & Safety with Minimum 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from a recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE.
