Junior Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Backend Developer with over 1 year of experience in constructing scalable, enterprise-level applications utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS services. As a crucial member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying backend applications leveraging AWS cloud technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Node.js (TypeScript) applications and microservices on AWS, utilizing services such as EventBridge, Lambda, and API Gateway. You will also be tasked with using various AWS services (e.g., EC2, SQS, SNS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch) to create cloud-native solutions that ensure high performance, scalability, and availability. Additionally, you will be expected to develop containerized solutions using Docker and AWS ECS/ECR to facilitate portability and cloud-agnostic deployments. Building and managing RESTful APIs integrated with AWS cloud services, contributing to feature design, and ensuring applications are scalable, portable, and maintainable are also key aspects of the role. Troubleshooting and optimizing cloud-based applications for enhanced performance, writing clean and well-documented TypeScript code following industry best practices, and staying updated on new AWS services and industry standards are critical components of this position. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in Node.js and TypeScript development, with a solid grasp of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture. Proficiency in Node.js frameworks like Express.js, Nest.js, or similar, along with a strong understanding of TypeScript, including type definitions, interfaces, and decorators, is essential. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, EventBridge, VPC, API Gateway, Lambda, and others, as well as familiarity with Docker, AWS ECR, and ECS, are also required. Furthermore, candidates should demonstrate expertise in microservices architecture, building RESTful APIs integrated with AWS services, and experience with relational databases such as MS SQL. Proficiency in Git for version control, strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills in cloud environments, and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment are also expected. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members, and familiarity with unit testing frameworks, monitoring tools, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS security best practices are highly desirable.
