Junior Software Engineer - Java - QMetry

You will be joining SmartBear as a Junior Software Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in solving challenging business problems and building highly scalable applications. Your responsibilities will include designing, documenting, and implementing new systems in Java 17, developing backend services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and JSON. Key Responsibilities: - Solve challenging business problems and build highly scalable applications - Design, document, and implement new systems in Java 17 - Develop backend services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and JSON Qualifications Required: - 2-4 years of experience working in Java 17 platform or higher - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field - Experience with API-driven development, OOPs, Java, Spring Framework, and JPA - Knowledge of Applications Performance Tuning, Scaling, Security, Resiliency Best Practices - Experience with Relational databases such as MySQL preferable - Familiarity with AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Docker, GitHub, SSDLC, Agile methodologies, and development experience in a SCRUM environment - Ability to learn and understand new technologies - Knowledge of Python is a plus - Previous experience in a customer-facing role would be an advantage - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Understanding of Jira and Atlassian products At SmartBear, you will have the opportunity to grow your career at every level.
