Job Title: Junior Rigger Artist Location: Bangalore, India Company: Lightfury Games About Lightfury Games: Lightfury Games is a next-generation AAA game studio focused on crafting genre-defining experiences. Were currently developing an ambitious unannounced IP powered by Unreal Engine. Our mission is to blend cutting-edge visuals with intuitive design to create unforgettable gameplay for players around the world. Role Overview: We re looking for a Junior Rigger Artist to support the creation and maintenance of high-quality character and creature rigs for our AAA title. You will work closely with the rigging, animation, and character teams to ensure that our models move fluidly and naturally. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, high-performance environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in building, skinning, and maintaining character and prop rigs, ensuring they meet animation and gameplay requirements Work closely with animators, modelers, and tech artists to implement feedback and improve rig functionality and deformation quality Utilize existing rigging tools and scripts; help test and troubleshoot issues as needed Prepare and export rigs for use in Unreal Engine, ensuring smooth functionality and compatibility Actively learn studio tools, pipelines, and best practices. Participate in team reviews and apply feedback to continuously improve Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in a rigging or technical art role (including internships or academic projects) A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating character/creature rigging abilities Familiarity with rigging in Maya (or equivalent DCC tools) Basic knowledge of skinning, constraints, IK/FK systems, and deformation techniques Exposure to scripting in Python or MEL is a plus Experience working with Unreal Engine or similar game engines Understanding of animation principles and how they relate to rigging Why Join Lightfury Games?
