Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the post of Junior Research fellow (JRF) to work on Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded research project.
Title of the project
Topology in heritage: Influence and manifestation of electron topology in bosons
Scope of Project
The project involves studying the influence of topological properties of electrons on the collective excitations involving bosonic quasiparticles such as phonons, magnons, and plasmons. Duration
The post is purely temporary in nature. Initial appointment is for the period of six months, which can be extended up to 3 years (or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier) solely based on satisfactory performance.
Essential qualification
M.Sc. in Physics from recognized universities/institutes with a minimum of first class and with GATE / CSIR-UGC JRF / NET-LS qualification.
Desired qualification
Overall good academic record, sound analytical skills and knowledge of basic programming.
Ph.D. Opportunity
The selected JRF candidate will have the opportunity to register for a regular PhD program provided the candidate satisfies the eligibility criterion for the PhD program in Department of Physics (https://vnit.ac.in/section/academics/admission/).
Fellowship
Rs. 37,000/- per month (consolidated) for 1st an 2nd year.
Rs. 42,000/- per month (consolidated) for 3rd year.
