Project Identification and functional characterization of auxin transporters during pathogen responses through MAP Kinases

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Junior Research Fellow in the SERB-EMEQ project under the supervision of Dr. Pawan Kumar Jewaria, Scientist, NIPGR.The above position is completely temporarily and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, and tenure of the post can be curtailed based on the assessment of the candidates performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending on the qualification and experience of the candidate.Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

Money

Rs.31000/- plus HRA as sanctioned in the project.

Qualification

Candidates having Masters Degree in Plant biology / Botany / Genetics / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Agriculture / Life Sciences with at least 55 PERCENT marks (or equivalent) and fulfilling the guidelines of DST-OM number SR/S9/Z05/2019 dated July 10, 2020, are eligible to apply.

Experience

Desirable:

Previous knowledge of Arabidopsis thaliana handling and transformation will be preferred. The project work requires skills of Confocal Microscopy, Genetic crossing and Molecular Biology Techniques.
