Junior Merchandise Designer Job

About the job: Key responsibilities: 1. Product Development & Coordination: Collaborate with internal design and product teams to understand specifications, mood boards, and tech packs. Communicate clearly with manufacturers, vendors, and artisans for sampling and production. 2. Vendor Management: Coordinate with fabricators, artisans, and suppliers for sampling, trims, production readiness, and dispatch schedules. Conduct local and occasional outstation visits for vendor assessment and relationship management. 3. Production Planning: Maintain and update trackers for sampling, orders, costing, raw materials, and delivery timelines. Ensure timely procurement and dispatch of raw materials, trims, and accessories required for production. 4. Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks at every stage: sampling, production, and pre-dispatch. Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, client requirements, and order specifications. 5. Cross-functional Communication: Bridge communication between sourcing, design, production, and client-facing teams for approvals, revisions, and escalations. Maintain clear documentation of all updates, changes, and client feedback. 6. Logistics & Reporting: Assist in logistics coordination, track deliveries, and update internal systems with accurate timelines. Provide periodic reports on production status, costing updates, and potential risks/delays.
