Junior Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Junior Maintenance Engineer

• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment including Injection Molding, Blow Molding, VMC, Press, Welding, Cutting & Bending, and Paint Shop machines.
• Support electrical maintenance activities for control panels, drives (VFD/Servo), PLCs, sensors, relays, and automation systems.
• Help troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to minimize machine downtime.
• Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance for machines and utility systems like compressors, DG sets, chillers, and HVAC.
• Support new machine installations, wiring, and basic power distribution tasks.
• Maintain critical spares inventory and coordinate with production and stores departments as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

• Record machine breakdowns and maintenance activities in logs.
• Support senior engineers in analyzing recurring issues and implementing corrective actions.

Team Support & Safety:

• Work under senior engineers to learn maintenance best practices.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines while performing maintenance work.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop and equipment area.

Vendor & Project Assistance:

• Assist in coordinating with external vendors for machine servicing and maintenance.
• Support minor plant expansion or equipment relocation activities under guidance.

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in automated machines (Injection & Blow Molding, Paint Shop, Welding).
• Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, Servo Motors, and control panels.
• Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and utility maintenance.
• Willingness to learn troubleshooting and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP/Maintenance software is a plus.
• Good coordination, problem-solving skills, and teamwork attitude.
