Junior Furniture Product designer

As a Product Designer at Maanavi Homes, you will be responsible for creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing furniture designs that align with market trends, customer preferences, and manufacturing capabilities. Your role will involve designing functional and visually appealing furniture pieces while considering materials, ergonomics, and production processes. Your key responsibilities will include generating creative and innovative furniture design concepts, researching industry trends, developing detailed sketches and prototypes, selecting appropriate materials, ensuring ergonomic and functional designs, conducting cost analysis, creating CAD models and technical drawings, maintaining design documentation, collaborating with quality control teams, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred. You should also have at least 3 years of total experience with a minimum of 2 years in a relevant role as a Furniture Product Designer. Proficiency in CAD software, graphic design tools, strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, knowledge of sustainability principles, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration abilities are essential for this role. This position at Maanavi Homes may involve occasional travel to supplier locations, trade shows, and client meetings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and participate in product development from concept to production.
