Job Summary The Junior Cloud Engineer will assist in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. This role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure the reliability, ef=iciency, and security of cloud infrastructure. The position requires foundational knowledge in cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps practices to support business objectives and drive innovation. Key Responsibilities Strategy Assist in developing and executing cloud strategies to enhance performance, scalability, and cost optimization. Support architectural guidance to align cloud solutions with business goals. Business Collaborate with stakeholders to understand cloud requirements and deliver effective solutions. Assist in evaluating new cloud technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems. Processes Support the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. Ensure best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent. People & Talent Learn from senior cloud engineers and seek technical guidance. Participate in training initiatives and promote cloud best practices within the team. Risk Management Monitor cloud environments for security vulnerabilities and compliance risks. Assist in implementing automated monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and security. Governance Ensure cloud solutions adhere to internal governance policies and industry standards. Support cloud cost governance and optimize cloud resource utilization. Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
